Virtual Marin is an OpenSimulator virtual world, currently under development, that contains a replica of Mount Tamalpais generated from USGS topographic data.
Currently Virtual Marin is hosted on a server using a home internet connection. Because of bandwidth limitations, it’s not yet open to public memberships, but if you are on the Hypergrid you can teleport to it at hg.virtualmarin.com:8002. You’re welcome to pay a visit.
Virtual Marin is a project of long-time Marin resident Erik Gordon Bainbridge (avatar names Apollo Manga and Hawk Lightcloud).
