Erik Gordon Bainbridge

Erik Gordon Bainbridge is a former software engineer who is now a teacher and writer.

As a writer, he has published the science fiction novel Warrior Brothers (WarriorBrothers.com)  and he writes about virtual worlds under his avatar name Apollo Manga.  He has been active in virtual worlds since becoming a beta tester of There.com in 2003 and has created his own OpenSim virtual world, Virtual Marin, which contains a topographically accurate replica of Mount Tamalpais.

He currently teaches evening community education classes in San Anselmo, California and in the past has taught at College of Marin and Santa Rosa Junior College.  He also offers private tutoring.

Erik is also on the board of directors of the Miwok Archeological Preserve of Marin, a non-profit founded in the 1970’s for research and education regarding Coast Miwok Indians, now Federally recognized as the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (www.gratonrancheria.com).

Erik also directs community television shows on Marin County’s Channel 26.
